I have no self control over eating

I have almost no self control when it comes to over eating...I just cant help myself and I keep getting fatter! what can I do to stop.I work at home and this makes the food really easy to access at any time,Im sure if I could stop eating all the time I would loose weight.sometimes I eat myself sick or sleepy, like its ThanksGiving every day. im so miserable over this and all my clothes are to tight again,I dont have allot of money but I do have allot of kids...therefore I cant buy bigger clothes I walk around with my pants unbuttoned all day,its humiliating...all the girls I know are much thinner than I am,I am about 80 pounds over weight and gaining,I would be thrilled to loose half of that!yet still I eat and eat,I have no self control and its ruining my life!help!

Here is another diet I would recommend for ya to drop 30 pounds really fast. As I've said, I've fought weight issues since my early 20's.  Up to about the age of 35 I found dieting pretty easy and effective.  Every year past that, it's become so much harder to drop the weight and I've really been adding on the pounds to a point of danger, not to mention embarrassment and ego deflating. This year I've come close to 200 lbs. Imagine that on a 5'2 frame. Several years ago I got up to 175 for the first time.  I thought that was the worse I could ever be. HA!  Anyway, I and my husband bought the South Beach Diet book and went on it together. In the first week I dropped something like 15 pounds.  By the end of the first month we had both lost a minimum of 25 pounds each. That weight loss was a real boost to our physical ego, and so we worked hard to stay on the diet. We continued to drop weight quickly and effectively the whole time we stayed on the diet. By the time Spring arrived I was down to a size 12 and he was a 33 waist.  I can't tell you how good we both felt, but it sure was nice not to have to buy fat clothes that looked like crap on me.  I highly recommend this diet to you as well or in place of a smoothie diet. However, maybe you want to try the smoothie diet first since there is no cooking special foods and it does knock out the sweet tooth issue.  I personally will attest to the fact that the South Beach Diet works like a charm and it also teaches you things about how your body metabolizes and stores fat. One thing I discovered is that if you don't eat something in the morning, your body will not burn one ounce of fat you've stored because it saves it in case no food comes later. Something like that. Eating first thing in the morning is something I never, ever did.  With the smoothies, I drink a bit and am not hungry usually till much later in the day. My stomach is shrinking and so is my desire to eat foods.  The south beach diet will help you drop lots of weight fast and is not that hard to stay on.  The smoothie is just plain easy and I have no clue why its working.  Either way, you will lose weight if you try one of these approaches. The south beach diet can also be used if your cooking for your kids and husband. They may not like it that much, but the meals are heathy and you can add a bit more for them if it is needed.  Then again, if they too have picked up extra weight, it won't hurt them to lose the weight either.  Do it together as a family. You mentioned you have kids, but I don't know your age or home situation. I've tried every diet out there, and thus far these two seem to me to be most effective, easy and healthy.  Too many are not healthy for you and actually do your body harm.  What do you think?

I've used both Weight Watchers and Nutria System in the past to lose weight.  They helped, but the Nutri program was too expensive. I myself am not big on group support clubs, so I've kinda avoided them when I can. I don't know why I'm losing weight on these smoothies, but I really am dropping pounds every week to my delight. I have found myself so much less hungry that it surprises me.  Maybe it's because I drink some first thing in the morning, and throughout the day whenever I get hungry. I know I'm getting healthier due to all the fruit I'm eating. One thing they have done for me is drop my strong desires for sweets. I use to eat ice cream all the time and I just don't have that drive for it anymore. Also, it's regulating my bowel system like I haven't seen since my young years, so maybe that too is helping. When you make them, use good fruit drinks to mix in with the fruits your blending. First the it helps the blending of the fruits.  Secondly, the sweetness of the fruit drinks take the place of the desire for sweets.  Add ice too. If you drink them throughout the day, you'll be shocked at how much your appetite will stop nagging at you and your desire for sweets slowly drops off too.  Like I said, I have yet to actually diet, but I've lost 20 lbs in about two months now and I don't even think the word "diet."  I gotta tell you that it's sure doing the job for me and I had no idea I would lose weight on these.  I have not been extersizing either, but starting to consider it now that I've dropped from a size 18 to a size 16, and some 14 jeans.  It really feels nice.  I didn't think I'd ever drop weight again and had given up. Good luck and let me know how it works for you.

thanks alot for the great advice,I think some support would be good, mabey I should look into that, like weight watchers or something.I am definitally gonna do the smoothies...that might really be the answer for me since I need something to stop my extreme hunger.the question is would it be less fattening and filling enough to replace all the other crap I usually eat? I guess that and some excersize is a good place to start,i will try smoothies, walking and a journal...and I will keep yall posted on how it goes, thanks!

I too have battled with my weight all my adult life. As I've gotten older, it's gotten harder and harder to lose any weight.  About six weeks ago, my son bought me a nice blender and all kinds of fresh fruit, good fruit drink and plain, low-fat yogurt.  He then made me a smoothie.  I loved it and it really filled me up.  Every-time I got hungry, I would go drink another smoothie.  I started making my own all the time because they were so sweet and filling.  I never thought I would lose weight. Within two weeks my size 18 pants were getting sloppy on me.  I'm only 5'2.  I suddenly was able to get into my size 16 pants. Six weeks have passed and I'm now fitting into size 14 pants without dieting.  However, I did stop eating sweets and started drinking lots of water. I still eat dinner and what not, but these smoothies are really blocking my desire for eating unhealthy foods.  Try it, it may work for you too. I'm almost 60 years old and if your kids are still at home, you should be able to drop weight fast. It''s healthy too.

over eating can be an addiction like, a drug addiction. Have you tried group therapy(AA for over eating)?  try making a food journal. write down everything you eat, right before you eat it write it down. it sounds stupid, gives you the sense that you are back in the drivers seat. unlike drugs, Eating is a more functional addiction, because you can go on for a long time before it ruins your life, that doesn't mean you should wait. try getting some lolly pops. that really helps me. For me having something to do with my mouth takes away the urge.
good luck
