As the others have stated breastfeeding can cause you not to ovulate which makes it VERY hard to get pregnant.  I breastfed my 2nd DD til she was almost 2 & only stopped as I ended up pregnant & didn't want to risk the baby's safety.

Try cutting back on how often he breastfeeds slowly & that should help your cycle return to normal.  Also remember that it can take awhile to get pregnant & the best way for it to happen is to try by not trying if that makes sense.

Good luck & CONGRATS on going 2 years breastfeeding.  you have no idea the incredible gift you have given your son :-)

A two year old child should be eating solid foods along with a few nursing sessions as Clysta stated above.  Yes breast feeding will stop ovulation.  Please start feeding your son, consult with your doctor if you have questions on what to start him on.  Good luck.

Is your son getting any form of solids? By two years old he should be eating foods along with a few nursing sessions if you choose. Breastfeeding can cause you to not ovulate which in turn will make any attempts at conceiving impossible.

im not a professional but when i had my children i was told breast feeding stops you conceiving and it can stop your periods, maybe you should ween your son onto normal foods if u are trying to conceive.
