I have something going on down there and it scares me

Okay well i was showering and I noticed a small bump almost at the top, towards the front of my vagina, I  got out of the shower and looked at it and it looked really red. It was like maybe the size of a pea. It almost looked like a zit so I squeezed it and it hurt so bad I stopped that. This was maybe 3 days ago. Now that whole part down there is red, and painful and all swollen. If i pee it hurts and stings so bad..  one of the lips is hard and texture like a balloon. The other area is swollen too. I been sitting in the tub, taking tylenol and trying not to move..if I move as in walk or switch how i am laying it hurts so bad i start crying. I called my insurance company yesterday to see if i could see a gyn instead of my doc. They said yes. I switched jobs so insurance is different and gyn is not my regular. I called and made an appointment but they cant see me until next month on the 7th. Im embarressed to see my regular doc cuz I work with him at the hospital and I am one of the nurses on the floor he makes rounds at. So female stuff I usually dont see him for cuz it feels ackward.Well Im in so much pain right now its not funny, its the most uncomfortable thing I think Ive ever endured besides childbirth and I have to work tomorrow. :<. If I go to the ER which is 100 copay, id be so embarressed. I dont know what to do, but i cant handle it. My sis had some vicodin for migraines and I took one of them but still it hurts. I cant sleep either, I am so miserable.
I had this once before, a bump in same area but it didnt hurt and it went away. My GYN said she didnt see anything abnormal This time it was back and it hurt, and omg I shouldnt have squeezed it.
What is this, is it staph or herpes or what..this is scary...please help, thanks

Keep looking here in womens health, there is alot of info on vaginal boils, lumps whatever they are that some of us happily married chicks have been plagued w/. Not everything like this is an std so don't panic but definately get in to see a Dr! Family plannin/ womens clinic like planned parenthood can be good for stuff like this. Good Luck,God bless.

OMG you poor thing!  Right whatever it is, its clearly soooo painful you need medical treatment right now!
Ring the gyn back right now and explain your agony, most compassionate doctors will make an exception for acute pain, and see if they will see you today!
And you need to call in sick for work, you are not in a fit state to look after anyone, you need some TLC yourself.
Get hold of some urinary alkaliniser (to reduce the sting when you pee) and gross as it sounds pee in the bath as it will hurt less on your tender bits (and then get out of course lol - dont sit in it ;)
It does sound  a wee bit like a herpetic lesion, and no you shouldnt have squeezed it.  Staph is not usually so painful, unless you are developing a cellulitis (which i must say i have never heard of in the genital region).
If you can bear it, an ice pack to the region will reduce the swelling and some of the pain.  YOu could also try some diclofenac suppositories PR or apply a topical lignocaine preparation ( i forget the name but there is one on the market for PV use)
of course these will only be stop gaps til you get medical advice.
is there a sexual health service or family planning place you could go to where you wouldn't know any one?
Good luck , I hope you can get help quick.
