Have they done blood work to test your hormone levels? If not, I suggest you make an appointment to do see to how high each hormone you have is. As the person said above, high testosterone can cause amenorrhea(no period) along with other issues(low progesterone, ovarian cysts, PCOS, and so on). Make sure to see your doctor again and ask to have your blood tested to see what is going on.
Hey Rach, don't stress too much on the having kids part. with medical assistance if necessary u will def b able to have kids. there r many options for every1 that will def help u conceive when ud like to. as for ur period, I just need to ask a question, did u get ur period after stopping birth control first month? did u ask about the blood work they'v done? testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, etc...? have u had an ultra sound done? looks like u have some sort of cyst or something thats making it hard for ur period to show. I'm sure an Ob/gyn would b able to help u and trust me u will feel better knowing whats causing this to happen. there r cures to almost everything in the fertility department I'm sure ull b fine! Tc and keep us posted! :)
The same thing happened to my house-mate. She hasn't had a period in two years. For her, it is because she has high testosterone levels. The doctor gave her a prescription for hormone pills but she opted out of taking them and tried using a homeopathic/naturopathic approach. So far it hasn't worked. You may have to take hormone pills every once in a while. There are many reason why you might go for a long time without a period. For some people, being too thin or being too active can make them not have a period. For some people medication they are on can make them not have a period. You are still young. Try not to panic about it too much. I understand that it is a difficult thing to go through. Try to find a friend that you can trust or talk to someone who has gone through something similar. Not having a period doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be able to have children later.
