I havent had a period for a while now and im scared

Hey everyone my name is Rachael,  I am 19 ,I haven’t had a period since July,2011 when I went to my doctor gave me some hormone pills , and the first time I went she did a pregnancy test that I knew I was going to negative because I’ve never been with a guy because I believe in waiting tell I get married yea I know old school but that was how I was raised. anyways I haven’t had a period since 2008 and my doctor in AK gave me birth control to see if that would fix it and she was like after you take it this month go awhile without taking it to see if it will regulate and it didn’t. so she gave me the pills again and nothing helped. so then she said they would take a look and it is very frustrating because they never have. and I finally got a period in July because of the hormone pills mind you was in 2011. and the first time I went to the dr in 2011 they did a lot of blood work and it all came back. normal so I made an appt with a obgyn on sep 29th so I am worried about what they might say or what they might not say and just be like nothing is wrong. your blood work was normal because my doctor that I saw in July of 2011. told me if the hormone pills didn’t regulate it to go see an obgyn I guess I am just nervous because all girls want to have kids sooner or later in their lives. and I don’t want to hear that something is wrong and I am not going to be able to have kids in the future. and it really ***** when I don’t have one and everyone is like someone is on their period they don’t know how frustrating this is. If anyone has advice i'd like  to hear what you all think
Please and Thank You
Sincerely Rachael
P.S I am /have lost weight so i am still like i dont know whats wrong

Have they done blood work to test your hormone levels? If not, I suggest you make an appointment to do see to how high each hormone you have is. As the person said above, high testosterone can cause amenorrhea(no period) along with other issues(low progesterone, ovarian cysts, PCOS, and so on). Make sure to see your doctor again and ask to have your blood tested to see what is going on.

Hey Rach, don't stress too much on the having kids part. with medical assistance if necessary u will def b able to have kids. there r many options for every1 that will def help u conceive when ud like to. as for ur period, I just need to ask a question, did u get ur period after stopping birth control first month? did u ask about the blood work they'v done? testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, etc...? have u had an ultra sound done? looks like u have some sort of cyst or something thats making it hard for ur period to show. I'm sure an Ob/gyn would b able to help u and trust me u will feel better knowing whats causing this to happen. there r cures to almost everything in the fertility department I'm sure ull b fine! Tc and keep us posted! :)

The same thing happened to my house-mate.  She hasn't had a period in two years.  For her, it is because she has high testosterone levels.  The doctor gave her a prescription for hormone pills but she opted out of taking them and tried using a homeopathic/naturopathic approach.  So far it hasn't worked.  You may have to take hormone pills every once in a while.  There are many reason why you might go for a long time without a period.  For some people, being too thin or being too active can make them not have a period.  For some people medication they are on can make them not have a period.  You are still young.  Try not to panic about it too much.  I understand that it is a difficult thing to go through.  Try to find a friend that you can trust or talk to someone who has gone through something similar.  Not having a period doesn't necessarily mean that you won't be able to have children later.
