Even big clots don't make a miscarriage.  I wouldn't think of them as miscarriages unless I had had a blood test for hCG and it came up as more than 5.  Otherwise they could very well be just late periods, especially if the period was due that day and came on that day, just delayed by the difference from morning to evening.  It wouldn't technically be a miscarriage, just a period.  I don't want to hurt your confidence in your grandmother, but unless she had you give blood and had it tested for hCG there is no way to tell that soon if there was an embryo in the mix or it was just a period.  A lot of women have big blood clots with their periods.  The endometrium sheds off in chunks.  It has nothing to do with miscarrying.

Try and plot your cycle so you can work out your most fertile time - near ovulation. Here is a website that might be able to help you work out the best time to try to conceive. www.ovulation-calculator.com/menstrual-cycle.htm

Good Luck. :)

Are you sure they were miscarriages and not just late periods?  It's kind of unusual to have a miscarriage the day your period is due; a period coming late at night instead of in the morning is not necessarily a miscarriage.  You might not actually have the bad luck you are thinking you did.

As for vitamins, if you are trying to get pregnant you should be on prenatal vitamins and Folic Acid.
