I took monistat 1 and now it seem worse

I was told by my doctor it looked like I had a yeast infection. I had never had one before so I thought that something quick would be nice so I got Monistat 1. Before I didn't have any discharge or itching or pain or anything. Now three days later I have this thick white discharge. It doesn't itch or hurt, it is just the white stuff. I don't really know what to do.

See your doctor again and get a correct diagnosis.  Nothing worse than treating the wrong thing.  Good luck!

Another possibility is that the Monistat 1 didn't work and the yeast infection just got worse.  Still, I would see your doctor, and if it is in fact yeast, maybe he/she can give you Diflucan.

Anyway - my friends and I have found that one-dose treatment of yeast infections isn't very effective.  Don't know why... I'm sure plenty of others swear by them.  But I've never had much luck with those and always go for the three-day or five-day treatment.
