IRREGULAR MENSTRAL CYCLE

I AM 30 YEARS OLD AND HAVE HAD AN IRREGULAR PERIOD SINCE I CAN REMEBER. IN SUMMER OF 2008 I WAS ON MY PERIOD FROM 5/17/08-09/05/08 AND IT ONLY STOPPED BECAUSE I WAS PRESCRIBED PROVERA. DIDN'T GET ANOTHER CYCLE TILL LATE JANUARY THIS YR AND THAT LAST TILL EARLY MARCH, ONCE AGAIN STOPPED BY PROVERA. I HAVE TRIED BIRTH CONTROL TO REGULATE AND I AM REGULAR AS LONG AS I AM TAKING THE BC, BUT I WANT A CHILD SO BC  IS NOT REALLY AN OPTION. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO HAVE A BABY FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS AND NOTHING. MY PAPS ALWAYS COME BACK NORMAL. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH AN IRREGULAR CYCLE  AND WHAT DID THEY DO TO FIX IT. I WANT TO TRY SOMETHING I WILLING TO TRY IT ALL AT LEAST ONCE I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO ASK MY DOCTOR CAUSE HE SAYS ITS JUST AN IRREGULAR CYCLE BC WILL REGULATE BUT CAUSE I WANT A BABY NO BC. PLEASEEEEE HELP ME

i know that im late but here's my advice. im 20 n i had my baby last year. i have irregular periods also  but they don't come on till like 3 and 4 months apart. my problem was the military wouldn't let me enter with that defect so i had to get on birth control to regulate it (i was not active at that time). basically, once i got off of bc when i turn 19 (bcuz medicaid would not pay for me not more) i got pregnant 3 months later. i had my baby feb. 2, 09' n my bday is feb. 7. ironic isnt it! Doing the time i was off bc i did had my period regular, bt as soon as i had her, it was back to the same ol' thing (being irregular). my advice is just to take bc for a couple months n try the month after u stop for a kid... i would do the same if i wanted another bcuz it worked the first time.
Thanks for sharing.
