I'm 42 years old, and I had my tubes tied seven years ago. Until I was about 37-38 years old, my periods were always 28 days apart. They had reached a point that they were about 21-25 days apart, which I was told by my OB-GYN was normalNormal saline flush, and that they would start getting further apart and missing etc. This is my question: My last cycle was 23 days with a normalNormal saline flush period beginning March 17. It is now April 19, 33 days and counting. I have had some tenderness in my breasts, some nausea, etc. Should I test for pregnancy or is this a normalNormal saline flush part of the periomenopause journey? My 59 year old husband and I ANXIOUSLY await your reply. Thanks.
im only twentyTwenty twenty three so i know nothing about menopause but i do know that it is still possible to get pregnant with your tubes tied. my aunt had her tubes cutCuts and puncture wounds and tied and still mannaged to become pregnant. it is not a likely situation but it is known to happen. with the symptoms you are experiencing i would suggest a home pregnancy test just to be safeSafe driving for teens Safe sex .
Nothing is impossible, but it is extremely unlikely. It is more likely that you are just having a late period, as is common during perimenopause.
Get a HPT or go see your doctor if you are worried about pregnancy, though. If you were pregnant with your tubes tied, you are at very high risk for ectopic pregnancy and would need to find out very quickly.
