I have been bleeding for about 10 days now. Its a flow like a period. I think I'm bleeding because last month I started my pills two weeks late because I wasn't able to get them for financial reasons and at the end of the cycle I attempted to skip my period but I bled anyway. The bleeding hasn't stopped but it has slowed down and I'm worried because I'm anemic and I'm getting weak and I'm worried that this much bleeding is dangerous. I still have one more week of active pills before I take the placebo pills. Should I skip a week so my period can come on so this bleeding will stop because I've been reading that it won't stop until my period comes on. Is this true? Please help! Thanks in advanceAdvance care plus Advance relief.
I'm not sure what to tell you about the bleeding and anemia except the obvious - you should call your doc.
You can't start your pills two weeks late and have it work correctly - it doesn't work like that. If you obtain your pills late then you need to wait all the way until your next period and THEN start the pills as you normally would....on the Sunday after you started your period. You can't just start them in the middle of the cycle like that.
I completely agree. Each pill is for a specific time of your period, thats why they tell u when to start them. So i would call your doctor and let him know what is going on and get their advice, then if he tells u to come in-go.
I said the same thing monday that wanttobe said today, I guess she doens't want to hear that she needs to follow the directions on the birth controlControl Control rx.
It's okay if you didn't know that you can't start your pills whenever, things happen, it won't kill you, and now you know better.
So if I were in your shoes at this very moment then I would stop taking the pills today. Your body needs to be allowed to return to it's normalNormal saline flush cycle. It's probably the hormones in the pills, from the sudden start, that is making you bleed so much. You need to stop taking them ASAP and call your doc for advice. He probably will want to see you given that you have symptoms of anemia.
