Is flu dangerous during pregnancy??

My brother has come down with the flu and im sure i heard somewhere that its dangerous to get flu when your pregnant.  Im starting to feel a bit sick and shakey, so im a bit worried that im getting it too.  Does anyone know if it can harm the baby? Im 21 weeks.

not as much dangerous as it is annoying and yucky so my advice try to avoid your brother for a few days until he gets a little better just to be on the safe side.

Influenza hardly ever causes birth defects. It can be more serious for you if you get the flu while you're pregnant. Pregnant women are actually more at risk of gettting the flu.  Of course alert your health care provider as a precaution if you do happen to come down with the flu.
