Is spotting a big problem?

I had a misscarrige.After that irregular bleeding was started.I visited my doctor.She had taken my ultrasounds and a syst was in my ovary.She gave me antibiotics and the syst was collapsed.Now my periods are regular but before periods i got spotting .we are trying to conceive .Should we consider first spotting day as LMPor when my periods actually starts with normal flow.
