Is spotting instead of having periods normal?

I have had the nexplanon birth control implant for About two and a half years now and also have been on oral BC as well to regulate my periods. Before oral BC I had been getting my period for weeks at a time. Started the oral BC and that's when I became regular.

Normally I would get my period 3-5 days at the same time each month- always very regular.

Normal Period in November- 3 days

Got Period for two days in December- had protected sex a week before and a week prior to that had unprotected before sex (about two weeks exactly before the Period).

No Period in January. Spotted very light brown for two days, just two weeks after I had my last December period. This was the first week of the month opposed to the normal Period which is the last week of the month typically- when I started the sugar pills of my BC packet. I Had also missed a few days of BC this month and was taking a few at a time on several occasions.

No Period in February. Spotting brown, very light, for 1 day on the day I would normally get my Period. Doctor increase Mid-feb my anti depressants dosage. Tiny amount of red spotting at the end of the tampon. Took an at home pregnancy Test, which was negative.

No period in March. Spotted brown, very light, 1 day on the day I would usually get the Period. Tiny amount of red spotting at the end of tampon.

Have been getting all the symptoms I would have normally - tender breast week before period. Slight bloating and irritability

Slight cramping week before. Feeling like I have to poop and not being able to.

My weight has been consistent since December.

I don't understand even the possibility of being pregnant since I have the birth control implant. Im not sure at what point I should call my gyno- today should have been the second day of my March period. Want to wait till next week to contact doctor to give it time. Took another pregnancy test tonight and it was negative again.

hi, I really think you need to talk to your doctor about all of this.  Perhaps the combination of things you are on isn't right for you.  I wouldn't worry--- this sounds hormonal in nature and I doubt you are pregnant, so wouldn't worry about that either hon. good luck
