I'll say this to you because I'm saying it to my own kids.....
To me, fornication is sex before marriage, which means foreplay (fingering and such) and intercourse. Adultery is sex after marriage with someone besides your spouse.
My standard has always been the Bible, which a few people on this forum won't like hearing, but I believe intercourse is when a person actually becomes "one flesh" with someone else. After that happens a person can never get their virginity back (guy or girl) ...that person will always be a part of you. It is not worth losing. Save yourself for your future spouse, he/she will appreciate it more than you realize at this point.
This will bring on some discussion, I'm sure, because people believe differently. I just care enough to be honest with my thoughts and hope that you will follow your conscience. You wouldn't have asked this question if you weren't already doing that. I know you want to do the right thing. Please do. Dare to be different.
well, i gotta say that that's good you started your post with 'to me.....', what makes people angry (very much including myself) is generalizing......which you are not, so, there we go. It's good to hear different opinions when they are not imposed.
At least I know I am not going to 'hell' for sure now......;)
actually any form of sexual contact be it before marriage (fornication) or with someone else in marriage (adultery) is considered as sin in biblicak pr religious situations. its not to say i haven't done it before. but actually from a religious point of view its some form of sexual contact. honestly i really don't know.. but I percieve it to be sexual contact before marriage... so you need to figure out what is your pereception of it. if it bothers you, then maybe its wrong to you. you need to make a personal decision based on your findings. however, play it safe with any form of sexual contact. trust me. you don't wanna catch something (non std) but you freaking out and don't know exactly what it was before you find out. take care
