Im 42 yr. old. married my problem is that i have this itchiness around me most happens when my period is near. and i went already to my my ob. had papsmear and the result of the test was negative, she said maybe acid or what and she doesnt prescribed any medication for this. Thank you.

did they check for a yeast infection? I usually get a yeast infection around my period. If acid is the problem, try a baking soda douche, it neutralizes acid. You may have to make your own since they no longer sell a baking soda based cleansers. You may also ask if the medicated ones would help.
