Itching/Redness After Masturbation

So I masturbated last night with my hands, which I had washed with antibacterial soap first. I also peed and showered afterwards. I just got out of a relationship and have not had any activity in my vagina, but I went in with my fingers. Well not long after the shower, the vaginal opening and inner labias are red and itchy. This is now the next morning and it is still that way. Do I need to go get a cream? If so, what kind?

I think I know why. I didn't shower prior to.

Well I got the right cream. But I guess I'm wondering WHY that happens.
