Itchy, sore, red, swollen vagina

Three days ago i used a VCF (vagina contraceptive film which contains spermicide), but i did not end up having sex that night.  I woke up with my whole vagina area being very itchy. that night, i noticed that my my inner right labia was red a swollen.  the next morning the swelling went down but still continues to be very itchy.  Now the other side of my outside labia is swollen, red, and feels hard.  There is also some discharge, which has become to look like the discharge from a yeast infection.  I have read places that spermicides cause yeast infections, but have never had one this bad!! any idea whats going on???

It sounds almost identical to a yeast infection. Have you ever used this form of contraceptive before? If not, it's possible your body had a bad reaction to it. They sell OTC kits that you can use to check if you have a yeast infection or not, as well as testing for Trich and BV.
