I've been on my period for 2 months.

I started having irregular periods when I was 19 or 20. As I have gotton older my periods have gotton heavier and more painful. I will skip 4 to 6 months without one and them when I have one it lasts for 1 to 3 months. I just went to my OBGYN the first of July and he put me on a type of birth control and said to take 3 a day to stop the period. Well, it slowed down alot and almost stopped but when I was done with the pills (a weeks worth)it started getting heavy again and alot of pain. I am animic from losing so much blood so Im taking Iron pills once a day also. I started taking another birth control once a day and still my period keeps going. Its heavy one day light the next and over and over. When I was 18 I have a STD that called Clamidia I believe could this have anything to do with this? I have been married for 9yrs and I can not seenm to get pregnate no matter what. My doctor said thats the only way I can fix my period is to have a child. I dont think thats true, there is got to be another way to fix this. I have been in emergancy room twice because the bleeding get so severe I cant contol it for more than 15 minutes at a time using the largest tampons and pads. It still does that now sometimes. My doctor said a DNC may help but I dont know Ive never had that done. I miss work all the time because of my severe periods. I will be in the bathroom ever 30 min to change sometimes and sometimes I wont make it and blood runs down my legs and all over the floor. Its so embarresing but I have no control over it sometimes. I am overweight about 65pds could that be part of it?

Ok First I would like to know why in the hell do you want to have ababy at 16. are just trying to get on the show or what is going on in you head.. If you think that you are wanting a baby just for the love. or just that it is a baby. well I have 11 year old and 8 year old and let me tell you they dont stay babys for long.. when you are up with a sick baby that is in and out of the hospitals.my girl was 11 pounds at 1. and let me tell you this is no game. if you think that you just feed and and hold it and all that. their is so much more to it then that. You live and have fun.. not everyone or friends going to be thier. they will not want a baby that is crying and all that.. that will go old. and then they will not talk to you.. then they will talk behind your back.. I only want to let you know it happend to me.. But I was 22 not 16... But I hope that you will stop and think.. And most of the time the men dont stay. Oh yeah it is nice and sweet at frist. But after that  they run. they get mad cant sleep baby keeps them up. or they find someone new.. you need do school. I dont want you to think that I am just geting on to you. But Hun you need to think about it. not unless you are like some moms that have everything just handed to you. I am 33 now and it gets harder even after 11 and 8 years.. Just know that is what you want and make sure you can deal with it all your life.. My 2 kids was not pland and it was so hard even at 22.. but hey let me know what you are think ok  i am Joanie white ok

I have the same thing but i'm only 16. Me & my boyfriend have sex reg. & for the past 2 months i've been bleeding like crazy!! i'm really scared to tell my mom & now my boyfriend is getting worried too. Yeah this is dumb but for the past year we've tried to have a baby & i'm still not pregnant. Even though i relize this is a dumb idea now, & i am no longer trying, it still worries me that it didn't work.

I have been having literally the same problem you described, did you ever figure out what was going on? I got my IUD taken out July 2009, and have been unable to get pregnant. My periods were just slightly messed up right after getting it taken out, but then feb of this year I stopped bleeding all together, then when I finally did get a period it lasted for an entire month. Then I didn't get another until the end of October, and still I'm bleeding. I'm so sick of the doctors telling me that any period after getting the IUD out is a normal period...how long does that last? Ya know.

I know how you feel... I had my daughter in January and after the whole six weeks bleeding after birth thing I went back in to make sure everything was healing okay and they scheduled me for an IUD well about a week later I got it and my period started off being okay then the more the IUD was in the more abnormal my periods would become.. it started of only being 5-6 days at the beginning of every month.. then I would have a period every other week it was normal cause it was start at the end of the month and continue onto the start of the next and i would be off for a week and start again at the end of the next month and then last month things got really weird my period started stopping after day three I would have nothing for a whole day then the next day it would come back then it got worse and now I have been on my period for the past two months straight and it ranges one day its really heavy and I bleed through a super tampon and then the next its near to nothing if nothing at all then the next its super light and almost a spotting type so I am slightly confused and without any insurance most doctors don't want to see people so I am having to go to a mercy clinic and apply to even get an appointment which is friggen crazy but I really dont understand why it started doing this all of a sudden and I am already on iron pills because I have iron deficincey because of the major lost of blood when having my daughter.. I dont how it could get any worse I am so sick of bleeding I could scream and of course its hard when you have a boyfriend screaming all the time that you don't ever give him any lol

I have the same thing "Kinda" I have been on my period for 2 monthes and don't know why. I had my IUD took out a year ago so I could try to have a baby they said it would take no time and I still am not peragent. I will bleed normal for a coupl,e of monthes and then like now I will bleed for 2 or 3 monthes. So I want to know what the doctors have told you or if you had found any way of controling this. I am also a little overweight "Dose this have something to do with it"
