Labia Minora Discomfort

If anyone can help me. My labia minora is constantly swollen. Not visibly but when I can feel that it is irritated. I would go through 3-4 weeks of consistent irritation and maybe a 2 week relief period. When it goes away I can always count on it to come back. I have no itching and no redness no abnormal discharge and lastly no stds . I am not having any form of sex. What is this ? Why does it feel like I have a little grape between my legs ?

Just for a little background information, in 2010 is when I began noticing a little bit of discomfort but for about half a year I did nothing about it. When I finally went to the doctor I was treated for a yeast infection. I have been in the doctor treating a yeast infection about every 6 months since then. It is now 2013. I believe it is safe to say this is NO LONGER a yeast infection if it ever was.

It is not painful but when I walk, when I sit, when I do nothing at all I can still FEEL my inner lips . It is very frustrating .It is irritating and annoying and I dont know what to do.

More recently I have been using Luvena prebiotic lubricant and Clotrimazole and Betamethasone with no improvements.

Can somebody please help me . Thank you in advance.

Hello,
Apart from chafing, this swelling can be due to be some form of allergy or dermatitis, and the commonest causes of this in this area is a reaction to something you are coming into contact with.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you so much for your advice, Kindd.

I have no rash . It's just constant swelling that  lasts up to 3 or 4 weeks before I get relief.

Ibuprofen doesn't work for me. I have been popping pills for days all in vain. I'm going to end up over dosing on the stuff .

This is a prolonging issue . My gyn has been giving me the same diagnosis of a yeast infection but this doesn't make sense to me. That brings me to my next question :

Are yeast infections ever odor free, itch free, and without discharge ?

My only symptom is my swollen  inner lips ?

Maybe I will go to a dermatologist as you suggested but I can see no visible changes.

HAS ANYBODY GONE THROUGH THIS ? What was your diagnosis ? What helped ?

Hello,
It can be due to chafing. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

And I just took a look and realized that the discomfort and protruding may only be on one side of the inner lips .
