Lactating nipples

My girlfriend recently started to lactate from her nipples.  She is two weeks late with her period and we took a ept that came back as negative.  We were curious as to what may be the problem.

some women, depending on what they wear, lactate for no reason.  does she wear a bra everyday? or no bra at all? if she is not wearing a bra the exposure to her shirt or whatever clothing can over-excite the nipples and in fact will activate the glands and the breast will produce milk, any over-stimulation will have this effect, usually over an extended period of time, if the discharge looks abnormaly thick or off color def. consult a doctor. my mother went through this and we thought she had cancer but turns out she just needed to wear a bra everyday.

I knew that.  Im not worried about the pregnancy so much.  Im curious as to what else could cause this to happen.

I think you have to be several months pregnant before that starts to happen, so she's probably not pregnant.
