Late Period/ Ovulation Question

Hello All,

This question may sound silly but I have to ask it... Last month (April) I was 10 days late for my period or at least I think it was a period (not light or anything of the sorts). Ok My question is...and please don't laugh too hard... if your period is late do you still ovulate on the regular schedule ( or is there such a thing) or do you ovulate the 10 or so days after that. The reason I ask is because I am definitle TTC and my first child was a "suprise" so I wasn't that intuned with what was going on with my body. Anyway if anyone can answer please answer. If not, thanks anyway! Oh yeah my periods are pretty normal for the most part. I was recently taking an antibotic (antibiotic) for an infection at the end of March and and was off schedule a bit for Feburary and march because of an infection that I had, not sure if that helps any! On the average, women ovulate between 10-13 days after the first
day of a period.  You might think about using an ovulation kit
if your cycles are pretty regular.  I got pregnant with my
fifth child on the rhythm method because I assumed I wasn't
going to ovulate till later in my cycle.
