Late miscarriage, had one period but still waiting for another????

by jenjon7, Apr 12, 2007 12:00AM
I had a miscarriage back in late January, I was 20 weeks along and had to have a D&C done. Since the surgery I have had one period, that period came 35 days after the day of the surgery. Now it has been 45 days since that period and I am just waiting to get another period. My husband and I were careful about when we had intercourse cause my doctor told us to wait about 2-3 months before trying again. I am now ready to try but have not had another period, I did not know if this was normal to go this long. I took a pregnancy test just in cause and that came back negative, so now I don't know what is wrong with me!!!! Does anyone know if this is normal?

well, i can say this, that after i had my d&c following a molar pregnancy, that my periods were all out of whack..........and my doctor said that that was normal. i would say that if in a week or two that if you dont have your period yet and you still test negative that you should call your doctor, but otherwise, everything should be fine
