Left face and tongue numb + dizzy

My mum got dizzy and felt her head heavy while she went numb on the left side of her face and tongue. This lasted for about 30 minutes.

Any help understanding what this could be?

Thank you, she is better now and managed to get to bed and sleep (it's night time where I am). I'll take her to the dr tomorrow.

I would suggest going to a doctor and let them accurately diagnose the problem...but my mother had something like this but much worse. She had a stroke. Their is such a thing as a mini stroke. That could have been what it was. Just an opinion....I am not a doctor but it sounds like something that you need to seek medical attention to asap. Stroke symptoms include going numb on one side or the other, dizzyness, off balance, headache.
