Little lump inside lip

A few days ago I noticed a little bump right on the inside of the left lip. It was a little tender so I left it alone. Today I noticed it had a white dot on the top so I tried to pop it, a lot of discharge came, it was yellow and then a little blood and then clear. Is this just a pimple?

Even it was a cold sore (or the herpes virus 1,) over half the population has it orally & were infected as children.  Chances are you have anitbodies.  But I agree the bump sounds more like a pimple.

Thank you. I have never had a problem (any disease or anything like that and all tests have been neg.) so I just got a little paranoid. It really just seemed like a pimple looks and feels. Just wanted another opinion!

probably just a pimple. they can pop up anywhere. as a precaution, keep an eye on it, but chances are that's all it is. if it's somewhere that stays dry most of the time you can put a little antibiotic ointment on it to help it heal. (like a pimple anywhere else, the head may reform before healing).
