I went off birth controlControl Control rx in Nov. 2006. I had been on the pill for almost 6 years, switching between Orthocyclen, OrthoTricyclen, and Mircette (whatever was the cheapest at the time). We have been TTC#1, and my cycle lengths have been 30, 29,29,44,44 days. I am currently on cycle day #38, neg. HPT, and have been spottingVaginal bleeding between periods lightly for 3 days now. When can I expect my periods to get back to normalNormal saline flush (before the pill, they were 30 days, like clockwork). Should I be worried, my doc ran a TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh test, I was normalNormal saline flush. He said that things like this take time, not to worry, he was sure he would see me back at his office (pregnant) soon. Is my spotting normal? Should I see another doc? How long do most people take to get back on track after being on the pill? Thanks for any feedback.
Hi,
I am in the same situation that you are in. I had been taking BCP pills for 8 years and its been about 10 months since i stopped. Before starting the pills my periods were like clockwork at 28 days. Since i stopped the pills, the length of my cycle has been increasing every month and is currently at 40 days. I also spot abt 4 days before starting bleeding. I dont know if taking the BCP for such a long time is the reason for my irregular periods and am also looking for answers.
