I'm 27 years old and I found out I was pregnant 6/1 after missing my period (due May28th) and frantically taking 3 HPT's. I was totally shocked when they all came back positive, as this is my firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc Preg., and we weren't trying. I went in to my doctor 6/5 to confirm the HPT's and receievd confirmation with levels about 1500. According to their calculations, I was 6 weeks, but I think I was only around 5. On 6/14 I had some very faint, light brown spottingVaginal bleeding between periods, mostly after wiping, but a tiny littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys bit was on my underwear as well, no cramping, but I called the doctor immediately. I went in for an HCG test. I recieved a call from my doc's office later that afternoon saying my HCG levels were only at 3,563, not where my doc. would like them to be. They scheduled an u/s for the next day (6/15). She wasn't able to see a defined sac and sadly told us that this was "not a good pregnancy' and didn't want to give us false hope. I was devastated and cried the entire day. Although she didn't see anything in my tubes or elsewhere on the U/S, she wanted to me to have my levels taken again on Monday (6/18), to see which direction the pregnancy was going, The spottingVaginal bleeding between periods completely stopped a day and a half later (6/16). I went in for my HCG levels again and found out they had only risien slightly to 3,685. I go back in for another HCG test tomorrow and ultrasound. My Dr. seems very dismal, is there any hope? I am still trying to have some.
Question:
1) Does this seem indicative of an EctopicEctopic pregnancy, although she couldn't see anything on the U/S last week?
2) Can a healthy baby be born if levels are this low, is that a possibility at all?
3) Is it possible nothing is eveloping at all, even with slow rising levels?
im going through a scary early pregnancy too. I just posteda question. I had an ectopicEctopic pregnancy pregnancy 4 years ago. You will have sever pain, shoulder pain and vomitting, at least i did. Maybe its too early to see the fetus (thats what im thinking in my case too! Good luck!
It's so good, but so bad to have someone identify with you. Thank you for responding. I haven't had any pain or cramping, i am just scared to death, thanks for sheding some light!
I went through something similar March of last year. Something told me to take a HPT and it was positive. That was my first pregnancy and my husband and I were freaking out (in a good way) because us too had not planned it. I went to the doctor that day and had my levels checked and was confirmed that I was pregnant. I had testing done again 48 hours later. The levels then did not double, like they are supposed to. Worried and upset, I called the on call doctor that day and made an appt for another 48 hours to see the doc and take my levels. My levels again did not double, only rising 20-40 points each draw. The ultrasound showed an empty sac. The doctor said because of the numbers that it wasn't a viable pregnancy and I was diagnosed as having a blighted ovum. Which means the egg and sperm meet, but no fertilization. My body wasn't on the same track as my doctor so I had to have a D&C to remove the pregnancy tissue. It could have taken weeks before my body realized it wasn't a viable pregnancy and started to m/c.
i dont know if its too late.i had similar situations with yours.i just had an emergency ruptured ovarian pregnancy.i had spotting at first x 2 days then after 3 days abdominal pain that lasted only for 20 minutes which i thought only a bowel movement.went to ER ,cant find pregnancy.then second ultrasound its in the ovary.they cut off 1/2 of my right ovary.
