MRI Side effect?

by Horse Lover, Jan 04, 2007 12:00AM
Immediately after I had an MRI done, my left arm was partially all red and a little bumped from when it was laying against the machine and it got very hot. This was almost 3 months ago. I had some discomfort but it didn't really hurt unless I touched it. I was even able to work out without feeling any pain. About 6 weeks ago, I saw my regular doctor. He said to ride it out, since it was probably a side effect of the dye they put in my arm to help the MRI. He had several patients complaining about discomfort in the arm after an MRI.
Lately it started hurting again and the pain is now almost constant. What is your opinion on this?

I'd just keep after your doctor to find out what's causing it.  There shouldn't be any permanent damage after an MRI, even if you had a reaction to the dye.
