MY MISTAKE

My last period was January 4th 2006 I usually start my pills that following sunday. I had a very stressful month and missed a couple and made a couple up. I eventually just stopped the pack after I had missed too many but I made them up (about 3) but just didnt finish the pack. I new that probably at this point they wouldnt work so I decided to wait. I did have sex before I stopped taking the pills (2 times) once on the 8th and then again on the 17th. The 17th was the last day I took the pills (3 of them) anyway. My period is obviously not here. I was supposed to get it Feb 1st. I took 2 pregnancy tests one on the 3rd and on the 4th. I feel fine, I have my normal period back aches and bloatedness no period though. My boobs are not sore or anything. I do have a discharge from my vagina when I pull out my tampon to see if i started my period. It was white and clumpy and sticky with an odor not fishy. Then today it is watery like. I am not really sure on what to do. I called my OBGYN on friday and they told that my hormones could be causing my "symptoms" but nothing more than that since I missed all those pills I could have thrown off my cycle. also, I did take the morning after pill on sat morning bc our back up broke, could that delay it anymore?

To me, it sounds like your body is confused because of the pill situation.  You shouldn't ever take 3 pills at once without speaking to your doc, I've heard if you missed a pill, take it as soon as you remember, but I don't think that applies to 3 days worth.  That can really mess up you body.

What kind of tests did the doc run, blood or urine?  If it was blood, then you're definately not preg., if it was urine, there's still a chance but you've done 2 hpt which are actually more accurate than the doc's urine test.  I don't think you're pregnant, but if you are pregnant, wearing a tampon isn't good.  Just for peace of mind, I'd wear a pad, but don't be surprised if your period doesn't trickle out like it usually does, it may come on full force due to the pill problem.  There are other types of bc out there that might be better suited for you if this is still a problem in the future, they might save you the hassle of taking them every day like the pill, one less thing to worry about since it seems like you've got enough going on in your life already.  Good luck and keep us posted!

ask your dr about starting your pills...you should probably take a HPT to make sure you are not pregnant before you start a new pack...instead of wearing a tampon, wear a pantyliner or a pad.

The reason I am wearing the tampon is because that is usually how i know i get my "period" I barely spot. Sometimes A little more than others. I am usually good at taking my pills very good. but I had some issues going on this month that completely made it a back burner. I am just wondering are the test I took (both at a dr's office) pretty accureate and should I realy on them? Should I start my pills today? and what is the discharge?

why are you using a tampon if you haven't started your period yet? Have you read the insert that comes with the tampons? You can get tss.

Your body is probably just reacting to you stopping your pills. If you are worried about it make an appointment and go see your dr. There might be a better birth control method for you, something that you don't have to remember to take everyday.

my advice would be to call your dr and ask him what he thinks, should you start your new pack or not. He may want you to go in and see him.

Also since I am usually on the pill my period is almost Non existant anyway, I ususally just spot a day or two and that is that. Could that be another factor?
