May I have a 2nd opinion?

I have  been having issues with my periods. I bleed for sometimes months and most times my periods are heavy with huge blood clots. I recently seen a Dr. obviously concerned about this especially because my month long bleeding was draining me literally. I felt tired, sluggish and dizzy at times and I was noticing that I was becoming sick often, catching colds quite a bit. After seeing the Dr. she scraped my uterus and ran tests,I was given birth control to help regulate my periods and I was feeling very confident. Then a few weeks later the Dr. calls me in and when I get there she tells me that my test results came in and that it seemed like I had cancer in my uterus. But the weird  thing was that she said "Yes" I had cancer but then she said "But the only way to be 100% positive is for you to get a hysterectomy." Now call me crazy but that seemed totally contradicting to me??? How can I have cancer but yet the only way to be 100% sure is to get a hysterectomy?? So, with all that being said I am asking for any other opinions...I do not want to go through with the surgery and hear "Oops I guess you didn't have cancer." Because I am in my late 20's never had a baby but want to eventually and if I go through with what the Dr. is strongly suggesting and she's wrong then there goes any chance of babies of my own. At this point I am open to any suggestions, I refuse to believe that the only possible way to find out for sure if it is cancer is by taking out my uterus...there has to be a test that can be done without the hysterectomy...is there???.

cant cancer be detected by a biopsy? a hysterectomy should be if your 100% sure you have cancer, even then u might not need a hysterectomy. this definately isnt right cause im 100% sure you can find out if you have cancer from a biopsy.
i wish you the best of luck and i hope you dont have cancer x

You need a 2nd opinion from a doctor.

I don't think what you were told sounds right at all.
