I am a 25yr old woman whom will b 26 in just two months. I have gave birth to 4 children and have had 2 miscarriages. My last child was born 14 mos ago. Here lately I have been having symptoms of early menopause especially intense migraines, extreme night sweats, heavy muscle tention, dizzy spells, dry mouth, different body oder, bloating, weight gain, at times I have trouble breathing, memory lasp at times, nervousness, and anxiety also at times. I was wondering if I could be hitting menopause so young because I started having children at a young age(16yrs.)! After my last child was born I did get put on the depo shot but have not gotten a shot in 8 mos. I haven't had a period in 7 mos.(am not preg. been tested). I also know that the shot can mess up your cycle but still yet while I was on the shot I did have a period(light flow) every month! Then one month I spotted for a few hours one day and haven't done anything since. Could I be going through the change?!?! Advice is much needed thank you!!!
Menopause that occurs before this age, whether natural or induced, is known as "premature" menopause. This can cause a sudden feeling of warmth of soles or that spreads over the upper body, irregular periods and vaginal dryness. In order to rule it out, you need to get your serum estradiol levels and FSH levels done after consulting a gynecologist.
Other than that, hypothyroidism and anxiety disorder also need to be ruled out.
