It is important to seek medical treatment if bleeding happens more than once month, the amount of blood loss increases instead of decreases, or if your periods stop for more than six months and then return.
i also copied and pasted this from another site....
hope it helps...
Endometrial Cancer

    Symptoms

    The most common symptom of endometrial cancer is abnormal vaginal bleeding after menopause. Up to 20% of women who have abnormal bleeding after menopause will have cancer.3 Abnormal bleeding in women older than 35 who have not started menopause may also be a symptom of endometrial cancer, though this is less common. In rare cases, an unexplained abnormal vaginal discharge may be an early symptom.

    Symptoms of more advanced endometrial cancer include:

        * Difficult or painful urination.
        * Pain in the pelvic area.
        * A pelvic lump.
        * Weight loss.

I called my Mom and asked her if she was taking anything and she told me no. She is very healthy and has really nothing medically wrong with her. She just started her period out of the blue after 5 years. She is worried but I did advise her to go to the doctor. She does not like going to doctors. That is why i turned to you for help. just some advice. i thought maybe  this has happened to someone out there.thank you for any information anyone can provide.
