I am 54 and have not had my period for 4 months, I thought I was in menopause but just got my period this morning. is this normal?  am I in menapause or not? I don't have symtpoms from my period so I don't know if I will have any symptoms for menopause, what are the symtoms and how long do they last?

Thank you!!! I need to hear something positive. I can still conceive. I am 49 and I had a regular period until this month. I had my period last month. And my cycle is usually 25 days the latest was 29 days. Right now I am in 36 day cycle and my period is 11 days late. Me and my husband had sex last month around my period. And this month it has not come on time. What do you think it could be? I have been having cramps like it is coming on. I am scared I what it to be that I am pregnant. I have not took a test yet I don't want to see not pregnant. ;(

Yes this quite normal, very annoying but normal. I think with menopause its expect the unexpected! You can still conceive believe it or not.
You can say after no period for a year that you have gone through the menopause, but for some women it can be 2 years.
Periods can be quite heavy or light but they are very irregular.
Its not a nice time, especially when you think they have stopped and then 6 months later you get a period!
Hugs!
