Menstrual cycle whilst breastfeeding

If I am breastfeeding my baby how long before my periods will return or will they return at all whilst I am breastfeeding?

it varys from person to person, personally i didnt get a period until i stopped bf, DD was 12 months, but a friend of mine breastfeed and had a period the whole time,

with my first af showed up at 6 weeks.

with my second, af showed up at 3 months.

I just stopped breastfeeding my son when he was 13 months my period returned a week later. I think it all depends on if your baby nurses at night or not also.
