Nothing will come out of my left breast, even if squeezed. I am EXTREMELY concerned about this, and have no idea what could cause such a thing! - Any clues?
And what kind of doctor would specialize in something like this?
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but what is a PCP? I assume one of the P's to be physician, but for the life of me can't figure out what the other initials might mean..
have you scanned the breast cancer forum? i think you may gain more insight by checking there because that question has been asked a lot so it must be somewhat commonCommon cold. it could be an indication of something or of no concern at all. i would not ignore it. its just the color that concerns me the most. if it were white/milky i may not be too alarmed. let us know what you find out. also, if you check your phone book, they have hotlines you can call and ask someone over the phone what they think.
I called the local hospital hotline number (thanks for the suggestion) and they recomended me to a general nurse practioner for now... who will recomend someone else if I need further test, i guess.
glad you're getting somewhere. guess thats all you can do for now is to take it step by step. have it looked at and if its cause for alarm, he/she will refer you to the next dr. if its out of their hands.
anytime our bodies do something different/out of the ordinary, its so scarry isnt it? hopefully you will let us know how it turns out so we can learn from it. hope all is well.
Hi Hope everything goes well for you. So would u guys say milky discharge is normal even if its been 17 months since breast feeding without there being a pregnancy?
I have actually experienced the very same thing – except I have never breast-fed. The way I understand it is as long as it is not blood – it’s usually ok. My gynecologist and surgeon have both assured me that the discharge can be white, yellow, gray, black even green – and I have had them all. For me the reason is that the milk ducts in my right breast are permanently dilated. My surgeon has explained that this is normal for some women. The color changes in the discharge are due to hormonal fluctuation and discharge consistency. It’s great that you are going to see your doctor – but I hope I have curbed your anxiety a bit. Let us know how it goes. Good luck.
