Mirena IUD pregnancy symptoms

Hi guys!  I had a mirena inserted in march 06, i bleed for 2mths straight and then stopped, and got a normal period a month later.  I am 3weeks over due for my period, im always tired, frequent urination, weight gain (eating heaps)...and feeling sick like i want to vomit.  I have also had problems with my bowels (which is common in my pregnancies).  I have three children already oldest is 3 and the young 8mths.  I have got pregnant on the pill, the implant (in the arm)...and im scared im pregnant again.  I had a home preg test which came up neg, then a week later it came up lightly positive.  Just to make sure i took another one three days later and it came up neg.....what is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love Rosalind

I am pretty sure that you can consitantly get "pregnant" on mirena but it makes your uterus lineing so thing that it can not attach...there for causing you to feel the beging stages of pregnancy and then goes away. I feel like I have expierenced this cycle over the past two years, feeling pregnant and then not on and off. It is starting to bother me because it is as though I am just having miss-cariages all the time. Has anyone ever heard this explanation before????

I have all of the same syptoms as you right now.  I took 2 HPT (yesterday morning and the preivous afternoon) that both came back neg.  I still feel as though something is not as it seems.  I have had 2 children already and know what my body feels like when I am pregnant.  I did go to the Dr. yesterday and gave blood for further tests.  I should hear back today soon so I can keep you posted.

I have the mirena a little over two years, i had a period for as long as 8months not spotting, a super tampon plus a pad and two pairs of undeerwwear! I'm 18 now. The beginning experience was awful cramping was bad for the first week and gradually got better. They litterally had to diallete my cervix to insert the mirena. I have beeen golden ever since. I have been extremely hypersentive to yeast and occasional spot. For the first 6 months of the mirena monthy cramping. Now never I recommend. But like you send with Your post. I'm sorry i think your pregant seek medical attention rright away because you could be 3 months or even an ectopic pregnancy which can cause the weird cravings. Or some woman minds play tricks on them, to think they are pregnant. Its cause by the hormones releasing each month and the brain especially the pariental lobe of the brain and frontal lobe. GoodLuck

I had my put in on Dec. 10 while I had my period I I usually have my period 7 days in was put in on the second day by the 5th day my period had stopped and 2 days later started back up for another 10 days then when it wad time for my next period I got it on Jan 12th and it is now Jan 24th and I still have my period they told me it would take my body 2 to 3 months to get use to it so that's all I'm giving it is 1 more month and if I see no change its coming out I was talked in getting it because I have heavy periods that last 7days and have problems with my iron from it I was told I would have shorter lighter periods and its not looking that way and I've already put 5lbs on in a month I'm very disappointed but I'm willing to give it another month to see if it works but if not its coming out I would rather deal with my heavy 7 day periods then going on over 2weeks any day

Me too!!! I received the Mirena in Feb. of 2007. My daughter is now four years old and never missed a period. But until recently I began to feel differently. My periods have been very!!! short only two days long. And since my daughter, my period has been seven days with mirena. I've been eating non stop, stomach cramping, tired and flutter sometimes. I'm thinking about taking a prego test. But I'm in denial!!!! Please help!!
