Missed Birth Control Pills

I recently went out of town and left my birth control at home. I missed three pills. I had just started a new pack and had only taken 10 of them. a few days after i missed those pills I started bleeding again as if I was having another period but I had just had one 10 days earlier. Well I thought that I was supposed to start again about 9 days ago according to my original period but I didnt. I took 2 home pregnancy tests and they were both negative.  What I am confused about is if I should count when I was bleeding as a period and count from there or if I messed my cycle up because of the birth control. I have never taken birth control so I am confused. If anyone has any clue what I am talking about please let me know!!!

I disagree that you should have had another period around December 22nd.  The December 7th bleeding was your period, again, even though you just had one at the end of November.  Any time you stop the pill mid-pack like that you will get bleeding.  So, if you wanted to go right back on the pill then you should have started taking a brand new pack of pills on the Sunday after the December 7th period.  Now at this point you'll have to wait for your next period, which will probably be about 4 weeks after December 7th...maybe longer depending on how your body reacts to stopping the pill.  After your next period here, start taking a brand new pack of pills on the Sunday after you start and you'll be back on track again.  Use condoms in the meantime.

Also, when you took your pg test(s) they were not accurate because it was too early to show up positive.  Your next period is probably due today, because today is 28 days after December 7th.  So I would suggest taking another hpt this weekend, unless you start your period.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Have you contacted your doctor or nurse?  If you have taken several tests and they are negative, they should be accurate by now.  I agree that you should've started around the 22nd.  You are probably correct that everything is messed up b/c of the hormones.  Are you taking active pills now???  If you are taking pills at all, you won't start your period, even if it was the appropriate time.

My last actual period started on November 24. I started a new pack that day and took 10 pills. (so I took the last one on Dec.4) I started bleeding on Dec 7. I thought I should have another period on Dec 22, but I still have not started. I think that I really screwed up my hormones because I have taken several hpt and they have all been negative. I have no clue what to expect or to do...

I answered to your earlier post...but it might be helpful for the ladies here if you give dates--I've tried counting your numbers, and I'm a little confused, as well.  You took 10 pills, missed 3, but then shoudl've started your period 9 days ago??  What day was your "original" AF?  (Not the bleeding due to missed pills??)
