Missing Mirena I.U.D

29 DAYS ago,  I had the Mirena I.U.D inserted and 12 of those days I spent changing massive amounts of pads. About 8 days ago, I had massive spark pains from my back down to my inner thigh ; mostly in inner region, I jumped into a hot bath. Moments later  I found a price of plastic string floating in the tub. I was in too much pain and over medicated to think straight. 5 days ago, I went to the walk in clinic with spark needle like pain stabbing feeling to my vagina. The doctor at the walk in swore I had an infection and the Mirena had to go. Funny put was he poked around swearing strings were too short he couldn't find. Sent me to the hospital & at the hosvital the emergency doc said h3 couldn't find it either. Sent me to ultrasound and techs there said there was a blurry spot to where the mirena was supposed to it. OBGYN said she couldn't find it in the cervix either.  My question is what's the likely hood that it broke apart? I still feel cramps in my ovary area. Sometimes, I feel so weak in the legs. I have numbing hands and feet. I'm so worried its lost and my doctor told me not to worry. Can someone pls give me some suggestions?

I would ask my doctor for an MRI it is like taking a picture in slices, but at least it is the best scan you could have.  If you can't get your doctor to perform this or send you to have one, I would change your doctor.
