Mobile cystlike mass near axilla

My doctor referred me to have a sonogram done, because I have
mobile cystlike mass near axilla . My sonogram only in two weeks.
I am wondering what are the chances that it could be cancer or something bad. I guess mobile mass is good. Am I right? Also, I am 31 years old and breastfeeding. My baby is 5 month old.

I also have a mass in my axilla.  I have had it for a very long time.  I even went to the doctor thinking that I had cancer at about age 16.  Have you noticed it since you have started breast feeding or while you were pregnant?  I am asking because my lump gets larger with such things as my period or while I too was breastfeeding.  It gets very tender at times and uncomfortable!  I was very worried too and actually have gone back to the doctor recently because it had been a while since I had it looked at.  They said the same thing as the doctor did 10 years ago - that it is probably breast tissue or lymph nodes, since it gets swollen during those times.  Hope this helps.  I would get it checked out though.  I am not sure what you mean by mobile?

your best to have it checked out..but i too have one and it seems to come around for me period time..I think its related to hormones.
it will be there and then disappear..and return again
