Morning Sickness - well... All Day Sickness

I am 10 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness is at its prime. I was not nearly as sick eith my other 2 pregnancys. I am looking for suggestions as to hat helped you when you had morning sickness. I have tried snacking on crackers. My OB gave me RX Reglan, but that makes me drowsy and dizzy. I can't function like that with 2 little girls at home. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am will to try almost anything!! :) Thanks in advance.

Okay ladies, that isn't fair! Y'all made me urp a little with those remedies!! Watch your ginger intake, it has been linked to early m/c. A good bit of advice my cousin gave me (she's a pharmacist) is avoid any and all supplements that start with G: garlic, ginseng, ginger, etc.

Now naturally occuring, added to food, etc is okay but capsulated forms are a higher concentration and too much can be a bad thing.

Small frequent meals, bland foods, watch the texture as sometimes that can be a trigger, do not wait until your tummy is empty to eat, take your time, watch the spices.

I am already dealing with nausea and occasional vomitting and so far my triggers are car exhaust and eating too much at one sitting.

Here's to hoping it passes quickly for you, it is never pleasant being so sick!

Lemonade, that's a good one, and those suckers they sell that are made with B6...preggopops or something like that? Altoids gum usually helps me.

my mother used to give me hot tea followed by crackers when i was younger and sick, and it worked well during my pregnancy. I was sick from the time I woke up til the time I went to sleep from 7wks through delivery. Hot tea and crackers were the only thing that would calm my stomach down

Phenergan (Rx) is another med used to help with N/V. Another home remedy is to take a whole onion, boil it, skin and all but cut in quarters.. Then strain it and drink.
Sorry, that recipe probably only made matters worse, but I have heard that it REALLY works!
Hope you are feeling better very soon!

I took Ginger tablets and Vitamin B6 tablets.  Check to see
if Ginger herb and the Vitamin B6 are okay with the medication
you're taking.  Good luck!

I didn't have much success with reglan with my youngest, I was throwing it up as soon as I got it down. I eventually had to get on Zofran as the 24 hour sickness (morning, ha!!) lasted literally all nine months.

All I could do for mine was drink Coke which I know is not good because of the sugar and carbonationbut.. you do what you got to to get through (mine was so bad I couldn't keep water down!). You could also try Coke syrup it ia sold at most drug stores it is "old fashion" for tummy aches.Good luck.
