Mouth is better!!!

by PGB, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
Good morning everyone!! The sun is shining, it is starting to warm up outside, hubby is gone to buy a new strand of lights because his dog chewed up one of mine for the outside, and we are going to put up our Christmas tree!!!!

Oh yeah, my mouth is better this morning.  Guess I just needed to put some carmex on it and shut up for a little while!!!

How is everyone this fine Sunday morning?

Just hangin around, spreading xmas joy and cheer everywhere I go.  I think Coki's "aunt" will blast me but good.  Back still hurts.

by lawgirl17, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
I am so glad that your mouth feels better. Mine does that sometimes with the change of the weather, and I use Carmex or something similar to keep it from remaining so dry.

I truly hope that isn't real about Coki ... I don't understand why the 16-year-old was alone for the night and her aunt showed up to check on her without even knowing that she was pregnant. Also, I don't know that a 16-year-old would be that well-informed about whether her family had insurance ... maybe I am just trying to convince myself that it isn't real because it is so sad. Hmmm

Okay I'm lost, why would Coki's aunt blast you?  What did I miss?

by PGB, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
Okay, I just read it, now I understand.  I hope it isn't real.  I HATE being lied to, but I actually hope I was that time.

by cable4me2007, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
First of all, the family has no idea she was even pregnant. They had to be SHOCKED BEYOND BELIEF. They find her unconscious in a pool of blood with a dead or dying baby at her side.  She is in ICU fighting for her life, and THE AUNT JUST HAPPENS, BY SHEER COINCIDENCE, TO SEE AN OPEN POST FROM OUR COKI, READS HER STORY, AND IS NICE ENOUGH TO TAKE THE TIME TO TELL COMPLETE STRANGERS WHAT HAPPENED?  She knows how to post a new question on a Medical site she's never used before?

Give me a break.  I'm sure that Coki's aunt will now come back on and defend poor Coki's story.

Also, how did Coki know how many "weeks" she was?  Teens who had no prenatal care guess in "months", NOT weeks.  "Weeks" is what those who have had prenatal care go by.  Not scared, frightened teens who are hiding a pregnancy from their parents.

This is a nutjob who for whatever reason, is seeking attention and sympathy.  IT HAS HAPPENED HERE BEFORE.  A couple years ago, there was a new poster who posted off and on for a couple weeks, she was pregnant, excited, almost full term etc.  We all bought it, she was very nice.  Then she posted how she went into labor and had a stillborn via an emergency C/S.  We were ALL devastated for her.

Then she slipped up and forgot to clear her cookies one time.  She was a well known poster who had been posting for a year.  Who we all knew and had helped her through the year before with her real baby.  She made up the whole dead baby story, and when confronted, said she was "writing a story" and wanted our reactions.

So I'm skeptical of this one.

by PGB, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
There are some sickos out there that's for sure.  Why would someone make up a story about their baby dying?  That is SICK!!!

by cable4me2007, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
I'll never forget her, or that time on Medhelp. It was sickening.  We all cried for this girl.  And then she slipped up, and it was someone we all knew well.

I'm completely sure that "coki's aunt" will surface and defend dear Coki and her story.  It will be a long ordeal, and will polarize the forum between the believers and the doubters.

by PGB, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
Why are people like that?   I guess I am more naive than I ever would have thought.  I bought into it.  Oh well, fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.

by lawgirl17, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
Also, she stated that she got no prenatal care but said that this was a BOY. How would she know that if she truly had no prenatal care. Incredible if true ... highly unlikely that it is true though. You make some very persuasive arguments, Cable ... ever thought of law school! ;0)

by cable4me2007, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
The world needs a persuasive cable installer, lawgirl.  How else do you think we get people to sign for for 500 channels???

Have a great day!

Beautiful day in the south!  I will be completing the Christmas decorations with the A/C going full blast!  To make it feel like the holiday season.

pgb:  glad the mouth is better

cable:  How's your back doing?  Any better?

by lawgirl17, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
To: cable
valid point ... maybe we would have bought more channels if you installed our cable! ;0)

by cable4me2007, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
It's still sore, but a tiny bit better.  I have to drive to LAX this evening, so it had better be cured by then.  I can hardly push in the clutch.  And it's about 50 miles away.

I could get your husband to sign up for the Oprah channel and all the cooking channels, if I so desired.  It's an awesome responsibility, the power I have to shape what America watches.

I try to use it wisely, but I do have to meet quotas.

My kids want hot chocolate while we decorate.  The a/c might work inside, but not sure I can run it high enough to do anything about the outside being hot.  They will probably just have to suffer!!!

You crack me up! I really need to start TIVO'ing Oprah. We need movie channels though ... could you talk him into that?

Easily.

I just noticed that when I post to  your thread for "mouth is better", it's under the sexual violence topic.   Now that's funny if you think about it!  LOL

by cable4me2007, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
Maybe that's how the corners of her mouth got traumatized!

by sdp4314, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
To: cable
Exactly!  That's what I was thinking....LOL

by PGB, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
I wondered how long it would take for someone to notice the topic!!! Sdp, you win!!  Not sure what, but you win!

Yea me!

I'll take Carmex as my prize.  I don't want sore mouth!

by PGB, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
Okay.  If that's the prize you want.  I hate it when I am on the computer and my cell phone rings.  Can't people see I'm on the computer?  The thing about cells are, I know it's someone I gave the number to and when I look to see who it is, I think about not answering, then I think, well something might be wrong.  Then it's not!!!

by sdp4314, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
To: pb
Yep.  I agree.  However, thank goodness for caller id!  LOL

Cable says I need a different name...too many numbers.  Real original to use my initials and my house number...LOL  Sdp will suffice however, it makes me want to say std.......LOL

by PGB, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
How about TexasStar

by sdp4314, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
Isn't there one of those already?  I guess I could just be "Tex".  I'll answer to anything and won't be offended.  I have a great sense of humor.

by PGB, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
Well, I must go.  My dh brought back the wrong lights.  Now I get to go swap them.  I'll talk to you later.

Check your email Tex!

cable:  maybe next time your SO could fly out of John Wayne - it's so much closer and the security is a breeze in comparison!

the story of the poster from last year is sickening.  what a horrible thing to do to women who had been trying to help!  and casey/rachelln, i mean mrs. jones, was making fun of SAHM who have nothing better to do???  i don't know whether or not to hope that "Coki" is a hoax!

caramex?  my daughter has been having the same problem off and on for months.  i'm going to buy some today- thanks to whoever posted about caramex!

have a great sunday everyone - hopefully we'll finish outside decorations today.  we didn't get very far yesterday :(

Usually we do use John Wayne, but this flight was free on Northwest, and they don't fly out of there.

I'm feeling a bit better.

by sk2006a, Nov 26, 2006 12:00AM
To: cable
i'd go for the free flight, too.  glad to hear you're feeling better!

by JoAnnaRF, Nov 27, 2006 12:00AM
We went and bought our tree last night wearing shorts and flops!! Drank egg nog while the kids decorated and listened to Sounds of the Season on CABLE!! LOL Had the AC cranked up but it STILL just doesn't feel like Christmas!
*wishes I had a snow machine*

Oh and Coki was a TOTAL hoax. She had a post on this morning that was deleted in a few minutes. She said that she got us good and that she has at least 5 other posts under other names and basically that we are clueless idiots, but her language wasn't that nice.
As I have stated, I am naive so for all those that have the Troll Sixth Sense, be on the lookout!
She is a twisted, sick individual.

by PGB, Nov 27, 2006 12:00AM
I'm a sucker too, so don't feel alone.  That takes someone with a lot of free time to do something like that.  Too much free time.  Way too much.

I enjoy a practical joke as much as any one, but that was just sick.

by sdp4314, Nov 27, 2006 12:00AM
To: JoAnnaRF
God, I thought I was the only one that had to decorate in shorts and flip-flops!  You mean I am not alone?  We are supposed to have a cool front come through by Thursday making the high about 58 degrees.  I'll beleive it when I feel it.  LOL

I thought that Coki thing was a hoax too.  I mean does every fraud on here have to have the worst grammar in the world, not to mention typing skills!

Have a great day,
Shawn

by cable4me2007, Nov 27, 2006 12:00AM
Sounds like casey/rachelln was Coki.  She loves to crow about "getting us good".  Wish I had seen the post, though.  MH is on these things quickly.

*snorts*
She didn't "get us".  I knew from the minute I saw it that it was fishy.
