My Breasts Hurt

I've read many of the painful breasts comments and feel comforted that I am not alone. However, I can't seem to find the answers I want. My left breast has been bothering me for weeks. I have always had very regular cycles and am 36 years old. No problems at all in pregnancy. My breasts did hurt however about five years ago when I was under a lot of emotional stress. I was assured by a doctor that breast cancer doesn't hurt, but now when it comes back I worry again. I need to be reassured and not only that, I would like to know what to do about it. Perhaps I need to up my vitamin B and then there was the info about calcium and magnesium. How do you learn about what your levels are? If I go to the doctor can they do actual tests? If the problem is hormonal, well, how do you actually know? What can I do about it?

I haven't drank coffee for at least 6 years - but I suppose I have been into the chocolate lately.

I have possibly the same thing. The first time was when I was 19, and lately have had it more often. I've had a needle biopsy at 19, and a few months ago went back for an ultrasound, since my boobs are too small I guess for a mammogram. (im 26 btw.) anyhow, I apparently, like many other women, get small cysts in my boobs from too much caffeine. It causes my boob, sometimes my underarm, back to hurt. I've also been told cancer doesnt hurt. They can give you tests for it. I wish I remembered the name, but there were other things that can trigger it, (foods) but its mainly from caffeine.
