I don't use pads so I'm not really sure how they come. But I know whenever I used to use scented tampons I would get itchy and irritated. I would make sure your not using anything that is perfumed.
I agree with girl522, I tried a new brand of pads that were perfumed and I got irrated and itchy from them.. I thought I had a yeast infection and put cream on it but it didn't help. Try using a different brand of pads or unscented ones.
I had the same problem with pads that had the dry weave top layer, so I switched to Kotex which have a soft cloth like top layer and I haven't had any irritation since, you might try switching to a pad with a cloth like top layer
After having my youngest son, as the bleeding started to subside, I found myself using the pads with wings. I actually had to take a carefree pantiliner and wrap it crossways over the wings to avoid the irritation. It was awful!
Some pads and tampons contain rayon, which has been known to cause allergic reactions with prolonged exposure in that delicate area. Try switching brands, see if that helps.
