My period is changing-more/bigger clotting

by Ladycleric, Nov 03, 2009 12:01AM
I am 20 years old. I am am sexually active with my boyfriend of 7 years, but we do not have "intercourse". We pretty much foreplay, touch and stuff until we're done. sperm doesnt have a chance of getting in so i cant be having a miscarriage problem. I started my period when i was 13. It has been heavy for the first two days with cramps, small clotting and then it gradually got lighter until the 7th day when it would end. NOW its different. 3 periods/months ago i started clotting more and it got bigger, now the first or two days of my period i have about 3 or 4 clots the size of large cotton balls that pass right threw a tampon. The cramps have not gotten worse and nothing else has changed. just the size of the clots, what could this be and how do i prevent it? I got a pap smear about 4 months ago, would it have caught anything serious or would they have to be looking for somthing first? whats goin on?What could it be?
