Okay, I can't post a new question because we're full for the day. So I'm using this empty thread. My subject is progesterone cream while ttc. I have what seems to be a pretty bad case of estrogen dominance syndrome (Super-terrible PMS--every symptom imaginable, and pain, pain, pain from endo). I've been using progesterone cream for a couple months (happy pms), and I follow the directions with the cream, pretty much. It doesn't seem to be helping with much besides my mood swings. I still have cramping the week before AF, very sore bbs, etc. I'm gonna try it again this month, because there are not many other options at this point. My question is for anyone else who has used prog cream when ttc, or anyone who is using it now. What day do YOU start? 1dpo? 2? 3 days post-ovulation? I will probably ovulate tomorrow or the next day. I don't want to accidentally prevent myself from ovulating, but I want to have enough progesterone to make a nice home for my new embryo (fingers crossed). I've been waiting till my hormone levels dip back down (I usually have 3 high fertility days on my monitor, 2 peak days, then one high again. I've been waiting till I'm back down to "low fertility," but I'm concerned that I may be waiting too long...or not long enough. I'd really like to hear from someone who used natural prog cream and conceived because of it-- or at least was helped along by it.
Thankyou, thankyou ;)

So may God bless you!

i'm sure when AnnJ saw someone post under hers, she thought is was useful information concerning her question. what did that have to do with it? nothing.
just dont post about it. why the need to defend? take a breath, blow out and let it go...see how easy it is?

Actually, I think what she (Cindy) meant when she posted it was to remove the trash that was previously in its place.  The fact that there is no opening question does make it an open forum. Oceans3 wasn't doing any hijacking...but I think that is something we are all guilty of from time to time.  Sometimes, you have to respond to someone specific, not necessarily the original poster.  Thank goodness for MedHelp...they give us the opportunity to communicate with each other, and sometimes, just to be supportive and be a friend.  You know, that's the best kind of support forum I can think of.
Thanks to you all!!

Have you been dx with low progesterone? The use of progesterone supplementation is controversial at best and truly only seems to help when an actual dx of low progesterone has been made. If you have had such dx, talk with your doctor about its use or consult your local pharmacist for more advice.

As the previous poster mentioned, you could try posting it in the Maternal Child section of the website. Hopefully some of our TTC wonder women over hear can respond (Monkeyflower and Greenpixie are unbelievably knowledgeable in this area!)

Good luck!!

Okay, first of all, the only reason I chose to use this empty replacement thread is cuz it sat here for 3 days with no question inside of it. Sorry to anyone who wanted to use it for something else. Personally, when we were given three empty new threads, I couldn't remember what had been in their place.

As for the prog cream, I only plan on using it for one more month, before giving up on it. It is not synthetic, so generally considered safe for anyone who uses it, as far as I know. I do seem to remember some women on this forum who said they were successful with natural progesterone cream while ttc, but that was in a post several months ago. The instructions do say to start the cream after ovulation, but are not terribly specific about how long after (immediately?). And for all of you who insist that I just need to relax, I'm trying, really. It's definitely easier said than done. Thank you.

Not a dx of low prog, rather High estrogen. Endometrial lesions cause extra-high levels of estrogen, which results in a relatively low amount of progesterone. The theory is that using prog cream for several months can return hormones to normal levels over time, and the lesions will shrink. My gyn is quite cavalier about natural progesterone cream. I mentioned it, and she said it wouldn't hurt me to try it. It is OTC, so was not prescribed.
