Natural treatments for bacterial vaginitis

by ssummer, Jun 03, 2007 12:00AM
Has anyone had any good experiences with natural treatments for bacterial vaginitis? I am currently trying tee tree oil to see if that helps. I really don't want to have to try another antibiotic. Then I wound up with a yeast infection afterwards. I think the antibiotics are making my immune system weaker as well.
Also, has anyone tried any detox systems, like Paragone to help eliminate parasites in the body? Just wondered if they help at all. Thanks!

U should try seeing the doctor one more time. Now I've heard of eating yogurt that has live something in it that helps cure bv. I haven't tried it because i no longer have fishy-smelly smells. I've had my share of trips to the clinic to be told each time i had bv. This is what i figured my ex was always sleeping around- i wasn't at all- each time i would get that smell i knew he had been unfaithful. The doctors say its not sexually transmitted- but i think different. SO let me tell you honestly DO NOT DOUCHE PERIOD-makes it all so worse-after sex-u want to throw-up. My living experience-do not douche,do not use all this smell good no where near your goodies, wear panties with cotton seats,no perfume, soaps, sprays, ointments, oils Nothing but clean clear water and a mild soap(safe-guard) is great. If you must have sex limit your partners or use a condom each and every time. If you think your partner is unfaithful use a condom because the next time it may not be bv.Each person is different but the diseases are the same. TRUST and do believe me when i say it is caused by multiple partners- you may only have one but how many does he have??

Use the antibiotics and eat yogurt to help with the yeast infection. There is a bacteria in the yogurt that helps regulate the good bacteria that we all have in the area that is killed by the antibiotics.

I have tried everything for itchiness and pain. Yogurt, ice. Some say cabbage works. I don't know anymore :(

I've had it for about a month before I decided that this thing wasn't going to just go away. use flagyl (metronidazole) and eats lots of yogurt. it will be gone
