Need Ovarian Mass Educated

Took my daughter to ER this morning in severe pain.  She thought she was trying to pass a kidney stone.  Nothing eased her pain level except Morophine. Ct Scan did not show kidney stone but solid/multicystic mass 9.8 cm by 7.2 cm. Dismissed her when she said her pain level was finally down to a 4, given pain medicine, and told to find a specialist since the local GYN would not touch her.  Have an appointment in a larger city on Friday (this is Monday).
She is still in pain and nausea.  My concern is "Do I need to take her to a different ER or is this suggestive of something that can wait until Friday.  She has an extremely high tolerance for pain.

No I would try to get into your Gyno quick if you can't then yes. However the cyst most likely will have to be removed because of the size.

Does she ever get painful periods? It is possible she could have Endometriosis, or PCOS. The problem with cysts is that ER doctors GYNOS in the ER are useless they really are. Unless it is causing a bowel obstruction or an ovarian torsion they just send you home.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This pain may be ruptured ovarian cyst which can cause severe pain and is a life threatening condition causing emergency.

Some ovarian cysts can be associated with decreased fertility. However, it depends on the type of ovarian cyst (endometrioma or PCOS). Other cysts like functional cysts, cystadenomas and dermoid cysts are also there. You need to get your daughter examined from a gynecologist as treatment depends on the type of cyst.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
