Hello I was asked this question today by my 18 year old  daughter and I did not have an answer for her so I was wondering if anyone may know it....she asked... when someone is having a heart attack does that mean that their blood pressure is up to? I do not know if your blood pressure rises when you have a heart attack all the time Does anyone know..Thanks for any help

Yes your blood pressure rises due to the pain.

I am no Doctor, and am just guessing along logical thoughts, but when you have a hear attack, your heart generally stops beating (thats why you die) and when your heart stops pumping then you have no blood pressure. Therefore I assume that your blood pressure drops during an attack.  But good question, anyone know for a fact?

Initially, your pressure can rise from the pain, but then it may fall from inefficient pumping of the heart.

Christie is right about the blood pressure but the heart doesn't necessarily stop beating during a heart attack.
