Need to gain weight

I miscarried my baby 6wks ago. Once I found out I was pregnant I started having morning sickness. I have a 11 month old son and I kept some baby weight. I was 128lbs in July but now I am only 118lbs. I am taking birth control but I have no desire to eat as much once I start eating. I went from a size 6 in Aug. to a size 2 in Sep. I have always been small but I lost this weight so quickly. What could be the reason behind it? How can I boost my appetite so that I can gain weight?

Im so glad to find out im not the only one going threw this. I had a miscarriage in Aug2007 and i weighed 138lbs at that time which my normal weight is 135lbs-138lbs. Since then i have lost 10lbs, i am in desperate need to gain my weight back. I barely have an appetite but its getting better and i have started taking my prenatal vitamins because i want to get pregnant again real soon. Please keep me updated on any advice you get to maintain your body weight!!!!!

wow. it's kind of scarey losing that much weight in such a short period of time, hey? also, i find it really difficult to to find doctors/dieticians that really discuss food and nutrition in a way that's not defined by the stupid diet industry....i feel like it's safe to say
your body obviously has been through alot of trauma. unfortunately, what often comes with trauma is loss of appetie and the subsequent loss of weight, which in turn can affect so much else. i've had bouts of loss of appetite and haven't found a solution to easily getting my appetite back- but learnt that no matter what my appetite dictates for me: nourishement is really really important so at those times i've tried to be conscientious of the foods i do eat (and that i eat no matter what my appetite is telling me). high fat foods (avocado), good grains, veg high in minerals (kale, spinach, aparagus, ect) and proteins too (i eat tofu....). flax seed. carrots. vinegars too make my body feel strong. chick peas. what i know from my experience is that our bodys appreciate nourishment even when we have lost what we know of our cravings. feul it, and i have found that things like my appetite come back. i wish you much luck and hope that you feel more energised soon.
