Nerve damage after angiogram

After I had an emergency Angiogram after a Radical Hysterectomy - nothing was found to be wrong with my heart. Now that I am home I realise there was a nerve cut which the procedure was done and now I am numb on the right side - groin area and my right labia. I have a great deal of pain - much like that felt with Shigles (I expect) the skin is very tender and I even have difficulty wearing clothes.
My question - Will this nerve damage repair itself - and if Yes, what time frame might I expect this to happen?

My 40 year old husband suffered so much stress at work, that he ended up being rushed to the local heart hospital, where, among other things, they did an angiogram. Well his heart was great, but in the 7 years since the angio, he's had constant pain, has seen no less than 25 doctors (of every  specialty), all of whom told us that "an angiogram couldn't have caused his problems." he's had steroid injections, had exploratory hip surgery (they found nothing) due to the type of pain he suffered, been given multiple narcotics, which almost OD'd him, gotten addicted to methadone (for pain) then went through months of hell coming off of it 'cold turkey' when the doctors wouldn't help him, he's varied between using a cane or a walker and was put on social security (without a diagnosis) at 25% of his former pay. Where does one go when the doctor's you visit, are more concerned with keeping you coming back for more visits, than fixing the problem?

My dad had the same procedure about 5 mths ago. The femoral nerve was cut. However, the Dr. refuses to take responsibility for this. My dad is in a great deal of pain, his leg is cold to the touch and he continues to get weaker. He has been on pain meds, tried acupuncture and recently seen a neurologist. The neurologist has said there is nothing that can be done and he will just have to live with it. I was wondering if either of you have found any type of relief or anything that could be of help. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you,  Angel

I could use a support group.  I had an angiogram 1 1/2 years ago and haven't been able to walk without a walker and terrific pain since.  The nerve by my femural artery was damaged but Dr. won't admit it.  I am so depressed over it.  Please reply if you have had similar thing happen.  Thank You!   Loa
