Nipple pain

This really doesn't have to do with mammograms but I didn't know what else to choose. I am 47 and I just had a mammo in December and it was all clear. I have not had any problems but just yesterday my nipples started hurting. I have had a hysterectomy (years ago) and don't see why this should be happening. If my husband hugs me or the dog jumps in my lap and touches them it HURTS. Any ideas what could be causing this? I hate to go back to the Gyno when I was just there and everything was fine.
