Non Stop Bleeding

Hi I went on the contraceptive injection. After a month, i started spotting. It was on and off for three months. The injection expired four months ago and I've had spotting every now and then and I havent gotten my proper period up until two months ago but now it has increased to nonstop bleeding. What could be the problem?

I was on the shot for about 10 years.  I bled a lot at first, as far as i can remember about two months straight...after that, as long as I got the shot on time, I never bled again! I think the worst ive heard is a woman bleeding for a whole year, but after that it stopped altogether.

Hey my girl friend tryied the same thing, she bled like you guys for along time, it wasnt until the second or third injection that she stopped bleeding. Its has soemthing to with the deproprovera. But it has been a couple of years since then and she hasnt had the bleeding  in a long time.
I hope this helps.

Hi Juraya, Im sorry I cant tell you what the probelm is, I can just tell you I had my last injection in July 2008. I only bleed a little once in Jan 09, started spotting in Aug and started bleeding in October and have been basically bleeding non stop, with only a few days with no bleeding. At the moment there doesnt seem to be an end in sight.

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone, if that helps at all.
